I just got back from my vacation and felt like doing a big update. So tada - here it is! Noticed the new layout? This gorgeous new layout was made by Kaleigh and coded by me. I feel bad featuring it when there's only 3 more weeks of Cycle 2 left but I haven't had the time to code it till now. Give her some love! The tentative dates for Cycle 3 are also up. Those of you who are hesitant about applying for a judge position because you weren't sure of the dates, no need to hesitate now! Speaking of dates, the deadline for judge applications is September 16th, 2010. That gives everybody a good two more weeks to work on your apps. Get crackin'!
I have also uploaded two new author interviews: Staryday (winner of L'One-Shot Award in Cycle 1) and The Lucy Program (winner of Le Fantasy Award in Cycle 1). Go check them out! And big thanks to MaGa who conducted the interviews.

Wow, has it really been over 2 months since I last updated? Time sure flies by.Well, now that the round at SKoW is coming to a close soon, it marks the time for Campanella to start another cycle! This is extremely exciting. Campanella is moving on to Cycle 3!
Of course, to run the cycle, we need some wonderful judges on board to help read the nominations. If you are interested in becoming a judge for Campanella, you can find the application here or on the 'Apply' page. We are also in need of graphics artists and applications for those can also be found on the 'Apply' page. Lastly, we are also looking for a new Public Relations person as Fade has, sadly, left the Campanella family. We'll miss her dearly! If you are interested in that position, please email me at campanella.awards@gmail.com
There were several comments about the Campanella contests. Unfortunately, the contest did go on a hiatus due to the fact that we were not getting any submissions. However, with the new cycle approaching, I will attempt to give the contests another try (with easier prompts) to see how it will go. Cycle 3 will still have the Best Contest Response category.
New cycle is approaching quickly. Any theme ideas? Drop them off at the cbox. :)

After a slight delay, the winners graphics are out. This officially marks the end of Cycle Two. I would like to thank the amazing judges and graphics artists who dedicated their time into making this cycle possible. Please give them a round of applause (on the cbox, haha). The wonderful winners graphics are made possible by Kaleigh, Aderyn and Jenny. Please give them some love! A note about the graphics: some of the graphics are animated whereas some are not. This is due to the fact that the different artists have different styles. If you are a winner of an unanimated banner and would like to receive an animated banner, or vice versa, please contact me and we will try to accomodate to your request(s).
The June contest is also out. Due to the fact that there weren't any submissions for the May contest, I will be announcing two winners at the end of June. You may choose to do either the May or the June prompt to be eligible to win the May/June contest.
Lastly, we've started a little side-project: author interviews! This is headed by MaGa, a resident judge. We already have our first interview ready for you all to view. Click on the Interviews page found on the navigation to go read about our first interviewee, M. Forthe (winner of L'Action Award from Cycle One).

THE WINNERS ARE OUTThere will be a slight delay with the graphics as we've hit a small dilemma with them and I'm still currently undecided as to what to do. However, the text-only version of the winners can be found on the winners page so go check it out! Congratulations to the winning authors!

Many apologies for the late update. Life is so busy. I hope everybody is enjoying reading the nominees. :)I actually have several things I would like to announce in this update but it's going to be a bit choppy since I'm in a hurry.
Firstly, the contest winner. Congratulations to Lani Lenore with her Red Ribbons! Lani has once again written something beyond my expectations. Definitely check it out. :)
Secondly, Campanella has started author interviews! We've received several positive responses from the winning authors of last cycles so expect some interviews very soon! :) I will also set up a form later so that you guys can submit your questions for the author(s).
Thirdly, I'm looking for Graphics Artists! So if you think you've got what it takes, click on away to the 'Apply' page!
Fourthly, and lastly, I'm very excited to introduce the new project that I'm part of. Hera, the owner of Undiscovered, has asked armith-greenleaf, Mister Black and I to be part of a podcast. The first episode will hopefully be out the upcoming Friday (we received news today that Hera's computer crashed so things are a bit sketchy). In the meantime, have a listen of this short trailer. :)
